‘We have and will always be friends’: CNN commentator Angela Rye confirms split with Common
CNN commentator Angela Rye confirmed her split Thursday from hip-hop star Common after around eight months together.
‘We have and will always be friends,’ the 38-year-old attorney told Page Six TV.
‘He is an amazing human being, and I’m a much better person because he’s a part of my life. May we all keep loving and living.’
Since last summer, the NPR political analyst attended many glitzy events on the arm of the Stand Up for Something rapper, who’s turning 46 this Tuesday.
When Common (born Lonnie Lynn, Jr.) became a Tony away from EGOT status last September, Angela congratulated him on social media.
‘Super proud of this guy for having a big #EGO, which is not to be confused with a big ego,’ Rye gushed.
‘Here he is giving thanks to the Almighty for his Emmy just like he does for taking every breath, every single day. I’m thankful for his tremendous example of humility, leadership, kindness, and creativity. May we all be inspired to #WORKwoke. #heisSOdope #itsjustthebeginning #TonyhereheCOMES.’
