In a tragic story that emerged out of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, a 27-year-old single mother was set up by her co-worker, killed, and robbed of her tax refund money.
Tax season is the time of year when most people have more money in their pockets and bank accounts than they regularly have during other months.
However, very recently in the city of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, a young woman from neighboring Pittsburgh lost her life over a few thousand dollars in tax refund money. Essence Magazine reported on Wednesday (March 7) that 27-year-old Keiauna Davis was murdered in a botched robbery, which was linked to one of her female co-workers.
Dane James Taylor, 21, Laya Alana Whitley, 21, and Kaijin Xavier Scott, 23, have all been arrested and charged in connection with Davis’ murder. Davis was a single mother of two who was using her tax refund money to plan a birthday party for her three-year-old daughter.
