Jay-Z’s highly anticipated album 4:44 dropped last night on he spills all the tea from admitting he cheated on Beyonce to addressing that infamous elevator fight.
Fans have been waiting patiently for a Jay-Z response ever since Beyonce released Lemonade and although 4:44 is not technically a response album, Jay definitely addresses some of our biggest questions.
On Jay-Z’s newly released album, 4:44 he opens up for the first time about the cheating allegations touched upon on Lemonade including Becky with the good hair, as well as the twins, and apologizes for taking Beyonce’s innocence. The title track, 4:44 is in the middle of the album and is chock full of vulnerability. Jay addresses the cheating rumors saying QUOTE – “And if my children knew / I don’t even know what I would do / If they ain’t look at me the same / I would probably die with all the shame. ‘You did what with who?’ / What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate? / ‘You risked that for Blue?'” Jay also apologizes for marrying Beyonce before he was ready to fully commit and also apologizes for not being there for her during her leading up to the miscarriage.
He goes on to say QUOTE – “Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles / Took me too long for this song.” Beyonce formerly told the world in her HBO documentary Life is But a Dream that she suffered a miscarriage before Blue Ivy was born, but this is the first time we are learning that she suffered multiple.
