Idris Elba knows how to keep the romance going in his relationship.
On Wednesday [Nov. 28] he and his fiancée, Sabrina Dhowre, celebrated their anniversary together with dinner, dessert and vibing to slow 90’s jams in their living room. The couple grooved to Toni! Toni! Tone!’s “Anniversary.”
Dhowre captioned the intimate moment on her Instagram.
“When you bring home the DJ… I love you baby,” she wrote.
You can hear People’s Sexiest Man Alive singing along as the two circled each other.
They also celebrated with a cake that read, “Happy Anniversary” in chocolate frosting.
Dhowre is former Miss Vancouver and a model of Somali descent. Unlike Elba, Dhowre was born in the United States but spent more of her time in Vancouver, Canada. The couple actually met last year in Vancouver while Elba was filming The Mountain Between Us with Kate Winslet. Back in February, the 45-year-old proposed to his 29-year-old girlfriend during the screening of his directional film, Yardie, in London. He told PEOPLE it was the “most nerve-wracking thing for me ever” and admitted he wanted to propose to her on Valentine’s Day but that would’ve been problematic.
