Everyone’s favorite childhood movie is being remade into a live-action film.
Disney’s The Lion King, will hit theaters summer of 2019.
On Thanksgiving, Disney released a trailer of the movie, which is a replica of the beginning scenes of the original 1994 animated classic.
The teaser begins with the sun rising in the horizon of the savanna and animals wandering around the Sahara.
James Earl Jones takes his role as voicing Mufasa in the trailer. He announces almost the same monologue to his young son Simba.
“Everything the light touches is our kingdom. But a king’s time as ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day, the sun will set on my time here and will rise as you as the new king,” Jones voices.
The trailer also features the sounds of Lebo M’s one-of-a-kind intro from the original film — a Zulu-language chant that is the prologue to Elton John and Tim Rice’s classic hit, Circle of Life.
