A national education-ranking website includes various HBCUs on its list of the best colleges and universities in America.
BestColleges.com rates the country’s colleges and universities in a variety of classifications and just published a list of the top-ranked HBCUs.
This website’s rating system for HBCUs takes into consideration the “academic standards, affordability, outcomes, student support, and the breadth and depth of online learning opportunities.” Florida A&M University was rated as the nation’s top HBCU.
Coming in at the number two spot on the list constructed by BestColleges.com was North Carolina A&T State University. The third-place rating went to Bowie State University in Maryland. Howard University in Washington, D.C., and Delaware State University got the fourth and fifth-place spots respectively.
Another list of the nation’s best HBCUs was published by U.S. News & World Report showed a top-five schools list that looked a little different from the list, which was published by BestColleges.com.
