UPDATE: Man Suspected of Shooting Angela Simmon’s Ex-fiance Turns Himself Into Police

An arrest has been made in the tragic shooting death of Angela Simmon’s ex-fiance, Sutton Tennyson.

The 37-year-old was shot and killed in his Atlanta home. According to TMZ, 44-year-old Michael Williams turned himself into the Atlanta Police Department on Tuesday (Nov 7).  However, his attorney has denied that Williams was involved in Tennyson’s death. Tennyson was killed after a conversation in his driveway went left last Saturday.  He was found inside the open garage of his home with multiple gunshot wounds in an upscale southwest Atlanta community.

Williams has been charged with the murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. On Tuesday, he had his first court appearance and was denied bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 20.

On Sunday, the 31-year-old posted a tribute to Tennyson on her Instagram.

“Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift,” she wrote. “I’m hurting. I’m numb. Thank you for the out pouring of love everyone. I can’t believe I’m even saying Rest In Peace Sutton. I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise.”

That same day, she made another post, showing their son replaying a video of the two of them playing in the pool.

“Reflecting,” she wrote. “He keeps replaying it 💔 RIP Sutton .”

It’s been a tragic turn of events for the young mother and hip-hop socialite. Back in 2017, Simmons called off her engagement to Tennyson, making the announcement on her Twitter at the beginning of the year.

“I can truly say that this year has made me stronger,” she posted. “Well I recognized my strength to walk away from what isn’t healthy for me. I faced my biggest fears this year. And from that I am open to my new life and evolving. I truly have seen and been through some stuff that I know tons of women go through. And I speak up to let you know there’s hope. All of those who are single mothers that are hurting that want to give up. Don’t! Also don’t stay somewhere that you aren’t valued. And don’t allow anyone to treat you less than what you are. It’s not easy to face my truth in front of this cold world. But I face it with pride because I got through this and will get through it all! ”

The two had announced their engagement in April 2016 and welcomed their son, Sutton Joseph, in September 2016. Cheating allegations were to blame for their break-up. But around the time of his death, it’s safe to say the two had a healthy, co-parenting relationship. We will continue to keep Angela, her son and Tennyson’s family in our prayers.

Another celebrity is also mourning the loss of a loved one. Tamera Mowry-Housley’s niece was identified as one of the victims in the Thousand Oaks, California  mass shooting.

The shooting killed 12 people and the gunman who turned the gun on himself. Alaina Housley, 18, was one of the victims at the Borderline Bar and Grill Wednesday night. She is the niece of Tamera’s husband, Adam Housely.

The Real co-host and actress posted a tribute post to her niece on Thursday to her Instagram page.

“Alaina. My sweet, sweet Alaina. My heart breaks,” she wrote. “I’m still in disbelief. It’s not fair how you were taken and how soon you were taken from us. I was blessed to know you ever since you were 5. You stole my heart. I will miss our inside jokes, us serenading at the piano. Thank you for being patient with me learning how to braid your hair, and I will never forget our duet singing the national anthem at Napa’s soccer game. I love you. I love you. I love you. You are gonna make one gorgeous angel. My heart and prayers are with every victim of this tragedy.”

The shooting joins the list as one of the worst mass shootings in the country.
