Stacey Abrams Is Holding On To The Governor Position

Georgia’s gubernatorial race has been predicted to end in Republican Brian Kemp’s favor. With most of the votes in, Stacey Abrams is not conceding to Kemp just yet as the final votes come trickling in. Kemps role in overseeing elections as secretary of state was a conflict of interest in which he denied. He’s also accused Democrats of hacking the elections.
Abrams gave a speech indirectly addressing these claims and she’s not going down without a fight.
“I’m not gonna name names, but some have worked hard to take our voices away,” she said. “But our vision is clear, and we see the finish line.”
Abrams believes there will be a runoff race and she says she had faith in Georgia’s voters and reassured the crowd that every vote will count. “Votes remain to be counted. There are voices that were waiting to be heard. I promise you tonight that we are going to make sure that every vote is counted. Every single vote. Every vote’s getting counted.”
