Sexual Abuse Victim Simone Biles Talks The Road To Recovery
By: Brianna Wigfall
Olympic star Simone Biles admits she is still dealing with being sexually abused by Larry Nassar, her former USA gymnastics doctor. Biles appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday after being named ESPN’s most dominant athlete of 2018 when she admitted to still being on medication and going to therapy.
“I’m on anxiety medicine now because I had a lot of ups and downs throughout the year and trying to figure out what was wrong. I go to therapy pretty regularly,” she said.
Biles told host Robin Roberts that through her ‘ups and downs’ she has a lot of support. “It’s not easy, but the people surrounding me are some of the best, so it makes it a little easier.”
