The Applications Were Amazing, But They Were Filled With Lies

Michael and Tracey Landry are the founders of T.M. Landry College Preparatory School. The pair has sent many black youths to ivy league schools such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Standford, Columbia, and many more but under what circumstances? It’s come out that all of the applications were allegedly stamped with fabricated transcripts and made up hardship stories. The Landry’s have also been accused of mentally and physically abusing students and teachers. The Landry’s deny fabricating applications and Michael admits he is a little stern on the students, but they seem to have a different explanation.
“That dream you see on television, all those videos, it’s really a nightmare,” Alison St. Julien said, the mother of Bryson Sassau who is an alumnus of T.M. prep school.
Sassau was accepted into St. John’s University in New York after he submitted a touching application. Tracey Landry referred to him as a ‘bright, energetic, compassionate and genuinely well-rounded’ student. His application explained how he prevailed as a student even though his father was an alcoholic who had beaten him and his mother. It said that he didn’t have money for food or shelter which led him to open the Dry House, a community service program that helped kids who were abused by alcoholic parents. A touching story right? Expect Sassau says none of it is true.
