Legendary Football Player, Herschel Walker, Called Out Don Lemon For Being ‘Racist’

Legendary football player, Herschel Walker, has called for CNN to fire Don Lemon after the host laughed when Kanye West was called “the token negro of the Trump administration.”
The segment was aired Tuesday night and was immediately deemed as racist. The conversation started when he asked colleagues if Trump was simply “using Kanye as a prop to win over black voters before the midterms.”

CNN political commentator Bakari Sellers used that moment to criticize West.
“Anti-intellectualism simply isn’t cool,” Sellers said. “Kanye West is what happens when Negros don’t read.”
This statement was met with laughter from Lemon and another panelist Tara Setmayer, who then backed Sellers’ remark by saying West is “the token negro of the Trump administration.”
Walker is a well known Trump supporter. He also is very passionate about mental health issues, which was also discussed in the segment.
Walker took to Twitter to express his feelings toward the segment.
“Went to bed appalled over Don Lemon’s despicable behavior laughing at Tara Setmayer and Bakari Sellers’ awful remarks about Kanye West’s visit with [Trump]! Woke up wondering why CNN doesn’t take all three off the air?” Walker tweeted, adding the hashtag “#Shameful,” Walker tweeted.
Setmayer instantly fired back at Walker:
“Bless your heart… You want to silence me because I expressed a different opinion than yours? Because I called out Kanye for what he is? Uninformed! I’m an actual conservative, who’s worked on policy advancing those principles for 20-plus years. I’ll never be a shill for Trump.”
Walker was far from done. He responded to Setmayer’s tweet by saying,
“No…Tara Setmayer, anyone that is African American with an opinion different than yours, you want to call them out by using the N-word, and Don Lemon is laughing? To me that’s bullying and shameful,” he tweeted back.
Walker was not the only one who had something to say about the CNN segment. Some people went as far as saying that Lemon and Setmayer was being racist toward West.
“Another new low for racist CNN. Though I am not a fan of Mr. West, he is earning my respect by trying to help the black community with these meetings with President Trump. What have you done?? The laughing was the icing on the cake. I am done with CNN!!”
“This is your typical [bad] mentality when one of us step out of the box, is to pull him or her down. We all can’t be liberals, we all can’t think the same, and we’re definitely not obligated to vote Democrat because we’re black. Change your thinking change your life.”
Another person who had a lot to say about the CNN segment was Deroy Murdock, a Fox contributor.
“These reprehensible, racist comments on CNN are typical of the Trump-hating left” that exists in the mainstream media,” Murdock said.
“Black Americans who think for ourselves are mocked and degraded with words we last saw under Jim Crow. If President Trump had no black supporters, they would call his circle ‘lily white,’” Murdock said. “Now, one of America’s most prominent black entertainers praises and visits the president, and he is trivialized as a ‘token’ who ‘doesn’t read.’”
Others claim that West is mentally ill, which is why he makes the decisions to work with Trump.
“The words that black female commentator was speaking makes me cringe. #Kanye has an illness; people know that. That doesn’t give her the right to put down a brother calling him “token negro.” Disagree, but don’t label like your something better than or other than,” a spectator wrote.

It wasn’t much longer that Trump himself slammed CNN for the segment as well.
“Kanye dares to think for himself, so CNN commentators mock him, saying Kanye (a wildly successful businessman) “is what happens when negros don’t read.” At some point, you have to ask, why is free thought & expression so dangerous & scary to liberals?” Trump wrote.
CNN has not yet responded to the negative comments.
