If you catch yourself engaging in steamy gossip, you may want to stay far-far away. Therapist says gossiping about other people’s relationships can be ‘detrimental’ to your own. It can even go as far as impacting future relationships that you aren’t in yet. According to the Business Insider Dr. Amie Harwick, a licensed marriage and family therapist says it’s very easy to get sucked into gossip, so you have to be very careful.

“Gossiping, in general, is rather normative behavior,” she said. “Communication about social behaviors goes back to nomadic tribes, regarding finding out who socially was to be avoided or cautious about.”

Gossip can be toxic to your environment and energy. Sometimes speaking things into existence is powerful and that’s something Kelley Kitley, a clinical psychologist, says you should stay away from.

“It brings negativity into a relationship. The behavior is judgmental, and oftentimes when people feel bad about their own situation, they gossip about someone else to make them feel better.”

The more you talk negatively on relationships, in general, this can cause a negative stigma and bad ideas around the topic. “Such a public depiction of relationship failure can absolutely instill fear in people, whether single or in a relationship, about the likelihood of relationship failure,” Harwick said.

“We take information about the world by what we see. But with the addition of social media and tabloids, our behavior modeling now includes an immense quantity of poor, and often untrue, behavior models.”

To avoid any bad vibes coming into your life Kitley and Harwick says staying away from gossips and negativity is the way out. “Spend more time finding positive relationship role models, and strive to achieve a plan for bettering your own relationship,” Kitley said.

The article refers to Kim Kardashian and Kanye Wests recent divorce rumors due to his public support for Trump and claims that slavery was a choice on TMZ. Although Kim has been supportive of her husband through all of his rants, social media is still adamant that Kim has had enough and will be divorcing him.

On the new season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians Kim talks about the petty fights, they have given the details on an argument they had about band-aids.

“He was like, I’ve slaved around the world for you making clothes for you to make sure that you find the best outfit and you let me go out wearing a Jesus band-aid. He said I should have bought skin-colored band-aids. So I’m running around looking for different color band-aids when I’ve got three kids to look after? Just because I didn’t give birth to this baby doesn’t mean that my plate is not totally full,” Kim said.

People on Twitter felt the show was ‘setting up’ the scenes for Kim to divorce Kanye stating they’ve seen it happen before. “They are definitely setting the stage for the divorce. They did the exact thing with Kris Humphery. Also, Kanye and Khloe would be perfect together. He’s a child, and she likes to play mommy to her man,” a Twitter user said.

Whatever the case may be Kims momager Kris hasn’t let the media in on any of the couples business and Kim continues to post her husband saying, “We got love,” to let everyone know they are doing just fine.
