Emmett Till’s Family Wants To Reopen His Murder Case

Now That The Women Who Accused Emmett Till Of Harassing Her Admitted That She Lied, His Family Wants His Murder Case Reopened.

After more than six decades it has been exposed that the accusations that lead to the murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till were false. 21-year-old Carolyn Donham accused Till of making sexual advances at her in 1955 which ultimately lead to his death. Donham’s first husband, J.W. Milam, and his half-brother, Roy Bryant, beat, shot and mutilated Till who was later found weighted down with a cotton gin fan in the Tallahatchie River. In January, The Blood of Emmett Till was released revealing that Donham committed perjury. Emmett Till’s Family is now requesting that the murder case be reopened.
