[VIDEO] Michael B. Jordan’s ‘Just Mercy’ Will Be Produced By Warner Brothers

Warner Brothers studios has picked up Michael B. Jordan’s newest starring vehicle called Just Mercy. Just Mercy recounts the early days of the Equal Justice Initiative, a non-profit organization founded in 1994 which has been dedicated to providing legal representation for underprivileged prisoners and those who may have been wrongfully accused of a crime or denied a fair trial. The film is based on Bryan Stevenson’s memoirs, which detail his first case in which he defended and eventually exonerated Walter McMillian. McMillian was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit and spent six years on death row before ultimately being released through previously suppressed evidence.
