The Michael Baisden Show has announced that Tamara Gant (a.k.a. Tamara G) has been named as Senior Producer.
Tamara’s responsibilities will include daily show preparation, segment producer and on-air talent as news producer. She will be the lone female voice between the outspoken host Michael Baisden and the always-unpredictable comedian George Willborn. Now this should be interesting.
Tamara is a 23-year veteran of radio with more than 19 years spent in the South Florida community at radio stations. She is formerly one-half of the dynamic duo known as “Those 2 Girls in The Morning” with Julie Guy on WFLC 97.3 The Coast in Miami. The show was consistently ranked in the Top 5 in the Arbitron ratings. Before that, Tamara was the Morning Show Co-host with James T. (Thomas) on WTPS NEWSTALK 1080 and the #1 Arbitron-rated station in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, WEDR 99 JAMZ.
“I’ve been dying to work with Tamara since we met 20 years ago and now I’m going to get my chance.” Baisden says. “From the moment I heard her voice and learned of her passion for the community I knew she would be a perfect fit.”
Tamara is actively involved in the tri-county area, where she has served as emcee/host of numerous concerts, festivals, school events and community events. “I am so excited about working with Michael and George on the re-launch of The Michael Baisden Show! It’s an incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be on “grown folks radio,” said Gant.
Originally from Marshall, Texas, Tamara is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism degree. She has also worked professionally in Dallas and Tallahassee.
Tamara has proven she can hold her own in the radio industry but the real question is can she beat comedian George Willborn in the Name That Tune, Battle Of The Sexes Contest? Things are about to get interesting on the new nationally syndicated Michael Baisden Show. Tune in and be apart of the excitement on January 16, MLK Day! Grown Folks Radio Is Back!
