The 23-time Grand Slam winner returns to the tennis court after brief hiatus to give birth and get married.
Professional tennis megastar Serena Williams (pictured) has had a very eventful life in the past year or so.
For starters, the 36-year-old repeat champion won the Australian Open in January 2017 in her signature dominant fashion. What made her feat so amazing is that Williams beat her opponent during the early stages of pregnancy. After winning this time, Williams took some time out from the sport she loves to embrace motherhood.
She broke the internet in mid-April of this year when she made a Snapchat post announcing that she was 20 weeks pregnant with her first child. In September of this year, Williams finally gave birth to a newborn baby girl named Alexis.
Then in November of 2017, Williams tied the knot at a beautiful ceremony in New Orleans, Lousiana. She married Alexis Ohanian, her longtime boyfriend and the father of her three-month-old child. Ohanian, 34, is a successful tech entrepreneur and a co-founder of Reddit.com.
