Rihanna Pleads With Trump On Twitter: “Don’t Let Your People Die Like This”

Rihanna is pleading with President Donald Trump to take action in Puerto Rico.

The Harvard University Humanitarian of the Year tweeted at the Commander-in-Chief on Thursday, writing, “Dear @realDonaldTrump I know you’ve probably already seen this, but I just wanted to make sure! Don’t let your people die like this.”

Below RiRi’s caption is a picture of Wednesday’s front page of the New York Daily News, with the headline, “American Tragedy.” The words, “No food, no water, no power, no medical care for the dying…Puerto Rico needs more help, Mr. President!” are shown in the front page as well.

President Trump has faced criticism over his administration’s response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico from other celebrities, including Mark Anthony and actor George Takei.  On Friday, he gave thanks a tweet “to FEMA, our great Military & all First Responders who are working so hard, against terrible odds, in Puerto Rico.”
