Mom of H&M Model Used to Sell “Monkey” Hoodie Says “Get over it! I don’t think like that!”
Following the backlash on the clothing megastore H&M, the Kenyan mother of the boy, Liam Mango, took to social media to respond to people opinions about the problematic sweater.
I really don’t care if the mom of the boy modeling the “Monkey” sweatshirt supports H&M. It won’t be the first time someone preferred money over dignity. It does nothing to erase the fact that it was racist and insensitive. #GetOverIt my foot! https://t.co/om5xG9XCdV

So now that the mother of the kid caught up in the H&M situation is defending H&M, are we still mad or are we going shopping?

So wait…the mother was at the H&M photoshoot and allowed her young black son to walk out on set wearing a “coolest monkey in the jungle” sweatshirt? Whatever happened to protecting your kids? Guess that check was too nice. They picked the right one then. Wouldn’t have been me
