Florida Looters Arrested Trying To Steal A Power Pole While Millions Still Have No Electricity

Two looters were stopped by Jacksonville police while attempting to steal a power pole in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

The highly conspicuous thieves were caught red-handed with the pole on top of their SUV.

The Jacksonville sheriff’s office posted a photo of the shirtless culprits sitting on the curb.

It wrote on Facebook: ‘‪These two were caught stealing a JEA pole just this morning! Citizens watching out and officers cleaning up = partnership! #HurricaneIrma’

Twitter users noted they would have struggled to sell it for recycling considering it is obviously a stolen power pole.

As of Wednesday, 3.2 million people were still without power in the Sunshine State.

After Irma hit, more than 32 people have been arrested for looting in Florida.
