Debbie Reynolds and daughter Carrie Fisher are laid to rest side by side following private service for family and close friends.
The family and close friends of Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher arrived at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles on Friday morning as the mother and daughter were laid to rest.
Reynold and Fisher will be buried together in a family plot, with some of Carrie’s ashes being buried with her mother as she was cremated shortly after her death.
Two hearses could be seen entering the cemetery along with a small procession of cars carrying mourners preparing to say one last goodbye to the two acting legends.
‘That’s the way it was meant to be,’ said Todd Fisher, Debbie’s son and Carrie’s brother.
Carrie’s daughter Billie Lourd spoke at the memorial, telling those in attendance how much she missed her mother and grandmother.
Among those in attendance were Meryl Streep, Penny Marshall, Meg Ryan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Courtney Love and Carrie’s Star Wars director George Lucas.
