‘There is NO excuse’: Charlie Murphy’s rep says he provided photos for Emmys In Memoriam segment… but the late comedian was STILL snubbed
He was known as a successful writer and cast member of the Comedy Central series Chapelle’s Show before his untimely death in April at the age of 57.
And the late Charlie Murphy’s representative has slammed the 2017 Emmy Awards after he was snubbed from Sunday’s In Memoriam segment, even though his rep provided images to the show’s producers weeks before.
The popular stand-up comedian died in New York on April 12 after a battle with leukemia, but was noticeably absent from the awards ceremony’s tributes segment at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Murphy’s representative Dominick Nati told TMZ that an Emmys producer contacted him on August 18 regarding photos of the famous comedian to be included in the show’s In Memoriam.
