Debbie Reynolds has died a day after her daughter Carrie Fisher. The 84-year-old was taken to hospital in Los Angeles on Wednesday from her son Todd Fisher’s Beverly Hills house after an apparent stroke.
The pair are said to have been planning Fisher’s funeral when Reynolds took ill. An ambulance was leaving his home shortly after 1pm.
Hours later, Todd confirmed she had died, telling TMZ: ‘She’s with Carrie’.

The 60-year-old Star Wars actress in a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday four days after suffering a heart attack on board a transatlantic flight.
A family spokesman was not available for comment on Wednesday evening.
Reynolds is understood to have been in a ‘fair to serious’ condition when she was hospitalized at around 1pm.
Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd emerged for the first time on Wednesday minutes before her grandmother’s apparent stroke.
The 24-year-old, who is also an actress, was seen leaving her Santa Monica home with rumored boyfriend Taylor Lautner.
Hours after her daughter’s death on Tuesday, Reynolds thanked fans for their support and condolences.
‘Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter.
‘I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carries Mother,’ she said on Facebook.
