Author and columnist for the San Francisco Examiner Cooper caused quite a stir with her ideals and her book for claiming that predominantly Black protestant churches, such as African Methodists, Pentecostal, and certain denominations of Evangelical and Baptist churches are the main reason Black women are single.

Black women are the most religious group of people in the United States.  If you listen to what you see and hear on television, you can easily reach the conclusion that African American women have a lot to pray about.

When it comes to love and relationships, black women are the most likely to be single and the most likely to catch an STD.  They also struggle the most economically.
